We have an August submission deadline for our Bible study. We are in the midst of putting together a July focus group which means scheduling, getting materials together, writing questionaires, and editing, editing and more editing of the manuscript (oh, and feeding all those helpful women who will be there to give us their opinion).
It's exciting and terrifying to be this close. Of course, any publishers that read this blog are more than welcome to offer us a contract now and help us avoid all this angst and stress. (-:

In The Beginning.....
In the beginning I had an idea that the closeness and conversation that emerged during our monthly stamping get togethers was a true bonding experience. There is something about working with your hands that frees your heart and mind to speak things you often would not bring up in a different circumstance.
I thought, "Hmmm, if you can have this kind of depth of conversation with such a diverse group of women that just seems to happen organically, why can't you have directed, intentional conversation that would have eternal impact?"
It was this idea that spurred me on to contact my good friend and the stamping queen, Donna Bagwell. Together we have labored over this Bible study. We have created a study that provides an opportunity for women to bond, create and explore the questions and answers to issues that women grapple with. The curriculum and questions are designed to generate conversation and then point toward the areas of Scripture that address each issue.
All this talking takes place while the group stamps and crafts a project each week that ties in with the chapter theme.
